While it is impossible to argue anytime other than NOW is better in terms of innovation, we believe the golden age of innovation was Midcentury when our imagination and optimism through science and technology was unlimited. Design and technologies place in our lives was driven by esthetic and function and was an elevated art form. Science and art defined the possible. The two worked together to drive towards an optimistic future. Defense companies like General Dynamics hired artists like Erik Nitsche to capture the potential technology had to positively change the world. The US Army sought field medical solutions from Charles and Ray Eames.
The Midcentury American promise that innovation makes life better is the United States’ best export. The period was defined by hope, vision, possibility, promise, and simplicity. Optimism in innovation and deeply believing our ideas can change the world. Disruption is the only thing that can fight being disrupted. We see the future as better for all and we see technology as the future and we believe this is now a global mission and believe everyone has a place at the innovation table.
