About the Founder

Tim Raines is the founder of Rare Innovation, formerly named Inc Cube and then Venture Science, both of which was sold to venture capitalist firms. Tim is an experienced and creative business development, sales and marketing executive with over $100 million in technology sales experience working with large firms like Dell, EDS, HP and UGS and as a consultant to dozens of new ventures across the globe. Tim’s commercialization experience has allowed him to work with many top tier universities and institutions, including the University of Texas at Austin’s IC² Institute, Universidad Autonoma De Nuevo Leon, Indian Institute of Technology and the United States Industry Coalition.

Tim holds a masters degree in Science and Technology Commercialization from University of Texas at Austin and a bachelors of science in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University in College Station.
